Give us a call
We see sick children by appointment. Office phone lines are answered 1/2 hour prior to start time during the week and on Saturday and Sunday, you can call one hour before the clinic opens to schedule a weekend appointment. If your child is sick and you want him or her seen, there is less wait if you call in advance. Try to call about sick children during the morning hours. It is our policy that patients with appointments will be seen first. If you come in without an appointment, we will work you in to the next available appointment slot. Call the clinic location where you’d like your child to be seen.
Consult with a triage nurse
Medical calls are screened by the Triage Nurses. They have been specially trained to make decisions regarding which patients need to be seen and how to care for children who don’t need to be seen. If she can’t help you, she will have your physician call you back.
Schedule with a pediatrician
Anytime you feel that your child really needs to be seen, do not hesitate to say so. If you would like to schedule an appointment for your sick child, simply advise the receptionist. Usually, there is no need in that case to talk to a Triage Nurse.
