Metropolitan Pediatric Specialists destroys patient’s medical records once the patient reaches the age of 28. If you need a copy of your record prior to destruction please contact the appropriate clinic to make a request.
Metropolitan Pediatric Specialists medical record request policy is that we need a written request from the parent or guardian of the patient. The request can be faxed, mailed or dropped off at the appropriate clinic site. We release only records that were created during your clinic visit with our physician.
The first copy of records are sent free of charge as a courtesy to our patients but any record request thereafter is charged a fee.
